FINALLY! Someone else besides Rubicon Express has came out with a set of XJ control arm drop brackets. The first set of drop brackets available were made by Trailmaster. Than Rubicon Express expanded on the idea and made a set that incorporated support braces. However since than no company has stepped up to compete with the RE set. The point of drop brackets are to lower the control arms so they sit more parallel to the ground; thus improving the ride quality for lifted Cherokee’s.

Rough Country seems to be stepping up to the plate lately and has just released it’s version of the drop brackets for the XJ. They are made out of 1/4″ steel and look to be very well made. RC says to use them with at least 4.5″ of lift; however we think they’ll work fine even at 3.5″.

The best part is they are almost half the cost of the RE setup. RC list’s them at $230 for a set; motionoffroad.com is selling them for much less!
